What is VASERlipo?
VASERlipo® also known as Vaser 4D Liposuction allows the cosmetic surgeon to accurately sculpt the body to create an athletic look using a state of the art ultrasound technology. Vaser stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance and is considered the latest generation of ultrasound assisted liposuction that leads to better results and recovery.
What does the treatment engage ?
VASERlipo® is a simple, minimally invasive liposuction procedure that can be performed while you are awake or under general anesthesia.
During the procedure, ultrasound energy is used to treat unwanted fat, loosening the cells from other tissues so they can be gently removed through a small tube. Depending on the number of areas being treated, the procedure can take as little as one hour or up to several hours.
After a VASERlipo procedure, we advocate early mobilisation and so that means walking and cardiovascular activity as soon as you can. This allows our patients to get to their usual routines as soon as possible.
Patients will need to wear specialised compression garments to help skin contract smoothly to the body's new contours. A short period of rest (typically 12 hours) is recommended, followed by two to three weeks of general recovery where strenuous activities should be avoided.
Results are immediately noticeable after the VASERlipo procedure and will continue to improve as the body heals. Final results are typically seen in about three to four months.
What results shall I expect?
Minimal swelling, bruising or discomfort may be experienced post-treatment. Clients are generally recommended to return to their normal activities almost immediately after the procedure, although it is advisable to avoid strenuous sport and saunas for 1-2 weeks.
