Outpatient Cardiology and Respiratory Assessment UnitCardiology and Respiratory Assessment Unit Our Outpatient Cardiology and Respiratory Assessment Unit examines and treats patients who need demanding cardiological and Respiratory clarifications or treatment. During the appointment, the patient meets our Consultant specializing in Internal Medicine, and is given individual instructions. In many cases, our consultant performs also an ultrasound examination of the heart. Other heart examinations performed at the Cardiology Outpatient Unit include clinical exercise ECGs, Holter monitoring, and check-ups. In addition to these, heart examinations performed on an outpatient basis according to need include Echocardiogram, Event Recorder and Radiographic examinations. In the Respiratory Assessment Unit our Consultant provide a number of services for persons with breathing (respiratory) difficulties and perform a number of different examinations according to the patient requirements. Some of the services we offer include Lung Function Test, Portable Oximeter and Sleep Study Through the visit our Consultant, clarifies the cause of the patient’s symptoms, defines a diagnosis, and plans and gives instructions for treatment and medication. Depending on the stage of the disease, some of the patients are directed for special examinations and, if necessary, further for special procedures or operations.
